Square-grid pattern, 60 × 60 cells, made on Chromattice.
Colour-and-weave, log cabin: plain weave, but the order of the colours makes it look like another structure. Dark and light in turn make fine lines; where the order shifts by one, the lines turn, so the cloth comes out in blocks of vertical and horizontal lines. Jackets, towels, placemats. Threaded straight, 1-2-3-4, woven as plain weave, 1-3 and 2-4. Warp in sections of 12: A dark-light, B light-dark, so a colour doubles at every change. The weft does the same: in A rows, tar on 1-3 and natural on 2-4; in B rows, the other way round. Sett: it's plain weave, so 8/2 cotton at 20 ends an inch (Jane Stafford: 16-20) and 20 picks, square, so the lines stay true. Tip: the colours want a clear difference in value. Checked against Peggy Osterkamp, "Looking at log cabin again" (dark weft on 1 and 3, light on 2 and 4, reversed to swap the lines): https://peggyosterkamp.com/2022/01/looking-at-log-cabin-again/ and https://janestaffordtextiles.com/products/8-2-cotton-1
