Pattern, 80 × 119 cells, made on Chromattice.
Danskbragd, danskbrogd: krokbragd with spots. Light spots float on a darker ground, a background shot always parting one row of spots from the next. Traditionally picked up by hand; the loom-controlled versions in the sources take five or six shafts, so this is a compromise. Krokbragd on 1-2-3-4: a 2-3-4, b 1-3, c 1-2-4. On five shafts Lila Nelson divides the second shed between treadles 2 and 4. Four shafts can split only that shed: 1-3-4 covers just the ends on 2, 1-2-3 just those on 4. A spot row is a, the spot colour on one half of b and tar on the other, then c. The spots stand on the same ends everywhere; pick-up places them freely. Sett: as for krokbragd, very open: carpet warp at 8 ends an inch (Handwoven: 8 or 10 for boundweave), about 30 picks in rug wool. Checked against Jan Mostrom, "Weaving Danskbrogd", Norwegian Textile Letter: https://norwegiantextileletter.com/article/weaving-danskbrogd/ and https://handwovenmagazine.com/determining-warp-sett-for-boundweave/
